Chronology of Catholic Dioceses:Notes on the Diocese of Isola 1114

The diocese of Isola (in today's Isola Capo Rizzuto) was erected in the XII century, and its firs known bishop was St. Luce of Melicucca (c. 1114). The diocese was suppressed in 1818 and incorporated in Santa Severina.
