Chronology of Catholic Dioceses:Notes on the Diocese of Montemarano 1059

The diocese of Montemarano was erected in the XI century after the Council of Melfi (1059). The first bishop, St. John I, died in 1095. The diocese was suppressed in 1818 and incorporated in diocese of Nusco.
