Chronology of Catholic Dioceses:Notes on the Apostolic Vicariate of Laos, 1899

The Apostolic Vicariate of Laos, established in 1899, covered all of present day Laos, together with what is now covered by the Ecclesiastical Province of Thare and Nonseng in Thailand. The seat of the Vicariate was at Ban Nonseng, a small village just outside Nakhon Phanom in Northeastern Thailand. The Vicariate was served by the MEP Fathers (Paris Foreign Missions Society).
