Chronology of Catholic Dioceses:Notes - The early Diocese of Man

Tradition claims that there was a Diocese of Man before the Viking period. Some date it to the time of St Patrick, others state that it was established from Iona at a later date. We have found this tradition to be so peristent that we can't ignore it, although we have found no evidence.
