Chronology of Catholic Dioceses:Notes on the Metropolitan Archdiocese of Arusha, 1999

The Holy Father, Pope John Paul II, created the ecclesiastical province of Arusha (Tanzania) on March 16th 1999, elevating to the rank of Metropolitan Church the Episcopal see, and assigning it, as suffragan dioceses, Mbulu, Moshi and Same.
