Vatican Radio Will Broadcast All Events

VATICAN CITY, AUGUST 8 (ZENIT.org).- "You bring your radio, we'll supply the rest," is Vatican Radio's slogan for its coverage of World Youth Day, which will be held from August 15-20.

"Youth Jubilee Radio" will provide the translation of the important events of those days. In order to follow the Pope's messages in English, as well as the testimonies that will be given publicly, you only have to have an FM radio. For English-speaking youths the frequency is 105.

In Paris, Czestochowa, and all the World Youth Days held to date, groups of pilgrims brought radios to follow the Pope's words in their own language; this will be especially true this year during the night vigil on August 19, and the Pope's homily during the closing Mass on August 20.

All those youths who are unable to come to Rome, but wish to follow the events of the World Youth Day, may do so live via "Jubilaeum" ( http://www.radiovaticana.org/inglese/engiubileo.htm ).

In addition to following all John Paul II's official ceremonies, this Vatican Radio program will interview pilgrim groups in Rome, and give information on the main cultural and spiritual events (concerts, theater, catechesis, prayers) scheduled during those days, which will attract over one million youths to the Eternal City.
